What You Type Into the Search Tool
The lookup feature on this site is powered by an outside provider. When you enter a name, a location, or any other term, that text is sent straight to the third-party service that runs the search. We do not save those search terms or keep a log of them on our own end. The provider handles your query under its own rules, so its privacy policy governs what happens to anything you type.
Notes and Contact Form Submissions
If you email us or fill out a contact form, we keep what you send only so we can write back. We do not pass your message to outside parties. The single exception is when a valid law requires us to hand it over.

Connecticut public records reached through these links, by the way, are governed by the state Freedom of Information Act under Conn. Gen. Stat. ยง 1-210.
Some advertising partners may follow your activity across different sites to build targeted ads. That tracking happens on their systems, not on ours.
